Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of the Bodyshop operation.
- Drive site performance against key KPIs, productivity targets and profitability goals.
- Ensure effective workshop loading and capacity planning to maximise throughput.
- Monitor workflow efficiency and manage daily production activities.
- Review performance metrics regularly and implement improvements where required.
- Ensure customer service standards and SLAs are achieved consistently.
- Handle escalated customer issues and complaints through to successful resolution.
- Manage departmental budgets, resources and financial performance.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and identify training and development needs.
- Support employee engagement, retention and team development initiatives.
- Work closely with the People team on recruitment and workforce planning.
- Oversee apprentice development and progression.
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety, COSHH and environmental regulations.
- Maintain audit standards and support BSI accreditation requirements.
- Provide support to other group sites when required.
Requirements
- Previous experience managing a busy accident repair centre or Bodyshop operation
- Strong knowledge of the automotive accident repair industry
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach and develop teams
- A strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and profitability
- Knowledge of BSI standards, compliance requirements and operational best practices
- Excellent organisational, communication and customer service skills
- The ability to drive performance whilst maintaining quality standards
- Strong understanding of vehicle repair processes, legislation and industry standards
