About the Role

The People Partner is an important part of the business, providing efficient, effective and innovative people solutions and services. This role will support both the Royal College and Pharmaceutical Press Limited, working within the Shared Services team and collaborating with the wider people team.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the business to develop and implement people aspects of business plans/ objectives.
  • Provide people advice, challenge and guidance to senior management and line managers throughout the colleague lifecycle.
  • Triage key people issues and ensure they are dealt with, seeking support from the relevant person in the People/ legal team.
  • Support and coach colleagues and line managers.
  • Develop trusted relationships through integrity and authenticity to key stakeholders.
  • Mentor and guide more junior members of the people team and less experienced line managers.
  • Manage recruitment activity as required.
  • Support managers with shortlisting, arranging and conducting interviews, and drafting employment documentation.
  • Conduct talent gap analyses to identify current and future skills needs.
  • Develop and implement succession plans for key leadership positions.
  • Support workforce planning initiatives.
  • Implement mentoring and coaching programs.
  • Develop and deliver management induction and development programmes.
  • Drive key strategic metrics such as engagement and EDI.
  • Support the implementation of a new employee engagement survey solution.
  • Heatmap the colleague experience and prioritise interventions.
  • Oversee the creation and reporting of colleague surveys.
  • Support with internal communication and engagement.
  • Support on payroll and pension inputs and actions.
  • Contribute to team discussions and planning and delivery.
  • Track people metrics, making suggestions for improvement and ensuring compliance with ISO requirements.
  • Deliver in line with the shared services SLA.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a people partner with a successful track record in complex, fast-paced organisations undergoing periods of change.
  • Significant commercial ER experience and knowledge, ideally with some experience of navigating the people impacts of change.
  • An ability to create people plans and actions, seeking support and guidance from people colleagues/ others as appropriate.
  • Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills with the capability to influence at all levels.
  • Change orientation; always looking to drive improvements and enhancements to our people services, systems and processes.
  • A growth mindset – always looking for opportunities to learn and grow.
