About the Role

The Office of the Chief Asset & Capital Management Officer (CACMO) is seeking a Senior Advisor to support the CACMO in overseeing the A&CM Division, managing strategic initiatives, and fostering collaboration with internal and external partners. This role is crucial for ensuring strategic alignment, effective decision-making, and implementation of operational processes within NYCHA's capital and sustainability programs.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a thought partner to the CACMO and senior leadership on strategic issues, division-wide strategies, and performance management.
  • Represent the CACMO in key meetings to advance the A&CM Division’s agenda.
  • Address high-priority requests and urgent coordination needs, collaborating with senior leaders across A&CM, NYCHA, and external entities.
  • Identify and coordinate the implementation of policy, procedural, and systems improvements within A&CM departments and in collaboration with other divisions.
  • Structure analysis and operational approaches, develop outputs, and manage projects across diverse teams.
  • Coach and support team members in analysis, operational approaches, and project management.
  • Manage internal, NYCHA-wide, and external communications from the Office of the CACMO.
  • Promote accurate representation and understanding of A&CM's work.
  • Prepare briefing materials for the CACMO.

Requirements

  • A strong sense of commitment to public service and affordable housing.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated experience successfully leading major strategic and operational change initiatives.
  • Ability to effectively represent A&CM within the organization.
  • Ability to represent NYCHA in public forums.
  • Ability to liaise with government partners and other stakeholders.
  • Candidates with permanent civil service status in the titles of Administrative Project Manager, Administrative Staff Analyst and Administrative Engineer will also be considered.
  • Employees serving in the titles of or who meet the qualification requirements for Administrative Construction Project Manager will also be considered.
  • NYCHA employees applying for transfer, promotional, title or level change opportunities must have served a period of one year at current location and in current title and level (if applicable).
