About the Role

The Bureau of Communicable Disease (BCD) is responsible for the surveillance, prevention, and control of over 70 infectious diseases. The Team Lead will plan, develop, and administer communicable disease programs, potentially including administrative supervision, contract administration, and fund allocation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily supervision for the Bureau of Communicable Disease fiscal team.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for administrative functions and programs.
  • Manage, monitor, review, and adjust all BCD spending from various funding sources.
  • Manage, monitor, submit, and track all intra-city and state awarded grant projects for BCD.
  • Oversee, review, and monitor BCD contracts and coordinate documentation with relevant departments.
  • Develop contracts and purchase orders and provide subcontractor and vendor activity oversight.
  • Collaborate with BCD’s HR team to monitor fiscal-related personnel actions.
  • Coordinate with BCD’s HR team on managing positions lists, organization charts, vacancy reports, and budgets.
  • Coordinate with BCD’s HR team to monitor BCD Overtime Salary Cap Waivers.
  • Manage, administer, and control BCD’s telecommunication equipment.

Requirements

  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college.
  • Five years of full-time professional satisfactory experience in a health services setting or public health program within the last fifteen years.
  • At least 18 months of managerial experience demonstrating ability in program management, planning, resource allocation, and work scheduling.
  • Education may be substituted for experience with graduate credits in relevant fields, up to a maximum of 60 credits for two years of non-managerial experience.
  • All candidates must have a minimum of a baccalaureate degree and 18 months of managerial experience.
