About the Role
This role supports young people known to the Youth Justice Service who are NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training) or at risk of becoming NEET. You will provide intensive information, advice, guidance, and practical support to help young people access and sustain appropriate education, employment, and training opportunities, while also helping to remove barriers to participation and improve long-term outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provide intensive information, advice, guidance, and practical support to young people.
- Help young people access and sustain appropriate education, employment, and training opportunities.
- Build strong relationships with young people, families, schools, colleges, training providers, and youth justice professionals.
- Remove barriers to participation and improve long-term outcomes for young people.
- Maintain accurate participation records.
- Support statutory data returns.
- Contribute to the council’s wider NEET reduction strategy.
Requirements
- Must clearly evidence how you meet the shortlisting criteria on the personal specification marked “A” for application.
- Will be required to undertake a Cifas check.
- Successful candidates will be asked to apply for an Enhanced Certificate from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
