About the Role

This position drives the business, development, and execution of assigned product categories, ensuring products align with merchandising plans and meet sales and gross margin objectives. It serves as a central information hub between design, product development, packaging, sales, and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Own product development for assigned categories, from ideation through launch and post-launch analysis.
  • Meet the sales budget for the assigned product category.
  • Develop Revman products across bed and bath, collaborating with all accounts and channels.
  • Analyze the competitive landscape to position products against competitors based on design, price, and value.
  • Proactively drive business in assigned product categories and identify new opportunities.
  • Anticipate customer and merchandising plan needs.
  • Build and maintain strong vendor relationships through consistent communication.
  • Gather new swatches and ideas in partnership with design, brand management, and sales.
  • Stay informed about assigned product categories.
  • Process oriented.

  • Ensure all products and suggested vendors are brand approved in partnership with the brand management team.
  • Work with vendors to maintain current programs and source/develop new product offerings and constructions.
  • Provide clear guidelines and product specifications for product development and design.
  • Ensure qualities, samples, and pricing are available on time for customer meetings.
  • Ensure products meet sales, pricing, and margin goals.
  • Work with sales, planning, and vendors to meet production minimums.
  • Manage carton sizes, case packs, and container fill information for quotes.
  • Communicate with the compliance team regarding new product testing.
  • Transition current programs to new suppliers due to supply chain issues.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with multiple teams.
  • Coordinate and communicate product development and sample needs with design.
  • Identify packaging needs and communicate details to the packaging team.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of previous experience in product management or buying line exposure with an understanding of retail cycles.
  • Knowledge of the competitive market is vital for determining future trends and needs, and identifying core product opportunities.
  • Must be able to multi-task on a routine basis.
  • Must be detail-oriented.
  • Must be able to adapt plans and change direction as needed.
  • Must have a proactive mindset.
  • Must be able to perform the job under a moderate to high level of stress.
  • Strong computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Excel.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in PLM.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) for effective communication with all company levels and international vendors.
  • Possess strong organizational, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Possess a team-oriented mentality.
  • Previous experience in successfully handling time-sensitive projects and meeting assigned deadlines.
  • Must be able to prioritize work/projects and answer questions related to work assignments in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to problem-solve.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision on a daily basis.
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
