About the Role

Peraton supports the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) mission by engineering, operating, and modernizing a nationwide data center portfolio. Our team provides full-lifecycle data center and cloud engineering, 24x7x365 operations, monitoring, and facility infrastructure reporting to host critical systems for Veterans.

Responsibilities

Design, evaluate, and support data center infrastructure across compute, racks, power, cooling, cabling, capacity, and equipment deployments.
Contribute to site assessments and produce Site Visit / Assessment Reports for VA facilities.
Support design reviews, from conceptual through issued-for-construction, and respond to VA comments within committed turn times.
Maintain configuration management materials — cable schedules, rack elevations, floor plans, labeling matrices — for supported facilities.

Requirements

Currently possess or be able to obtain VA Public Trust — High Risk (BI High) / Tier 4 background investigation.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Engineering, or a related field; 5+ years of data center or comparable enterprise infrastructure engineering experience.
Master's degree substitutes ~2 years of required experience; Ph.D. substitutes ~5 years of required experience.
In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, 4 additional years of relevant experience is acceptable.
Associate's degree + 2 additional years also accepted for equivalent professional levels.
