About the Role
Peraton supports the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) mission to deliver timely, reliable care and benefits to America's Veterans by engineering, operating, and modernizing a nationwide data center portfolio. Our team runs enterprise and regional data centers, telecommunications spaces, and secure network connections that host the systems Veterans depend on. We provide full-lifecycle data center and cloud engineering, 24x7x365 operations and monitoring, DCIM platform administration, analytics, and facility infrastructure reporting.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the senior technical authority for a defined DCCE domain (e.g., critical facilities, resiliency, or portfolio modernization).
- Drive the multi-year technical roadmap and standards for the domain; provide design authority on major initiatives.
- Represent DCCE at senior VA technical forums; brief senior VA leadership on strategy and outcomes.
- Mentor Advisors and Lead Associates; guide the engineering practice's technical maturity.
Requirements
- Currently possess or be able to obtain VA Public Trust — High Risk (BI High) / Tier 4 background investigation.
- 10 years of related experience
- Supervisory experience

- Data center monitoring and management tools including Nlyte Asset Optimizer / Energy Optimizer (DCIM), ServiceNow (ITSM/CMDB), SolarWinds, Nagios, PRTG, PuTTY, Wireshark, PowerShell, Python, Power BI, MS Visio, and SharePoint.
- AutoCAD, TileFlow familiarity.
- ITIL v4 service management
- SAFe Agile / Scrum for iterative delivery
