About the Role
Peraton supports the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) mission by engineering, operating, and modernizing a nationwide data center portfolio. Our team hosts critical systems for Veterans, providing full-lifecycle data center and cloud engineering, 24x7 operations, and facility infrastructure reporting. Your work will directly impact Veterans' care and benefits.
Responsibilities
- Develop data center infrastructure architectures, designs, standards, and modernization solutions supporting scalable and resilient operations.
- Translate business and mission requirements into target-state infrastructure architectures and phased roadmaps.
- Ensure alignment of proposed solutions with enterprise technical architecture and applicable federal standards.
- Support cost/benefit analyses for architecture options and vendor/technology selections.
Requirements
- Currently possess or be able to obtain VA Public Trust — High Risk (BI High) / Tier 4 background investigation.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; 8+ years of infrastructure architecture experience.
- Master's degree substitutes approximately 2 years of required experience.
- Ph.D. substitutes approximately 5 years of required experience.
- In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, 4 additional years of relevant experience is acceptable.
- Associate's degree + 2 additional years of relevant experience is also accepted.
