About the Role
WEX is seeking a Product Manager to lead one or more of our Electric Vehicle products and partnerships, focusing on delivering EV solutions that ensure customer retention as they transition their fleets to EV. This role is crucial in building the next phases of WEX’s mobility product evolution and driving the electrification of transportation.
Responsibilities
- Lead one or more of our Electric Vehicle products and partnerships.
- Deliver EV solutions that ensure the retention of customers as they transition their fleets to EV.
- Seek to understand WEX’s corporate strategy, the competitive environment and market trends and how our products can create value.
- Deeply understand our customers’ needs through customer empathy interviews and data analysis.
- Leverage data to understand how the product is performing and prioritize work.
- Use qualitative and quantitative insights to drive decisions, define experiments and prioritize roadmap.
- Appreciate and comprehend different points of view and share information clearly and transparently with strong collaboration while knowing when to escalate.
- Bring a deep understanding of the market, applied technologies and domain expertise, with a curiosity and learning mindset.
- Work closely with engineering teams and other product teams to prioritize and deliver features.
- Forge relationships with internal stakeholders such as marketing, finance, compliance and sales.
- Identify customer problems, roadmap prioritization, writing detailed requirement documents, managing a backlog, and maintaining thorough documentation.
- Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle, including discovery, hypothesis-driven development, first use and support.
- Rapidly experiment to solve customer problems.
- Identify root cause of issues, rapidly test, develop recommendations, and influence others.
- Ensure we are building products that will deliver commercial value.
- Inspire teams around a vision and influence key stakeholders.
Requirements
- Previous Product Management experience delivering world class software or capabilities.
- Proven ability to work closely with engineering teams and other product teams to prioritize and deliver features.
- Equal focus on forging relationships with internal stakeholders such as marketing, finance, compliance and sales.
- Experience identifying customer problems, roadmap prioritization, writing detailed requirement documents, managing a backlog, and maintaining thorough documentation.
- An end-to-end view of the product lifecycle, including discovery, hypothesis-driven development, first use and support.
- Deep customer centricity, with a passion for understanding customer problems and rapidly experimenting to solve them.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical orientation with the ability to identify root cause of issues, rapidly test, develop recommendations, and influence others.
- Strong financial acumen and experience with business model innovation, ensuring we are building products that will deliver commercial value.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to inspire teams around a vision and influence key stakeholders.
- Passion about electrification and helping fleets and customers adopt new technologies.
- Familiarity with EV charging ecosystem and industry standards like OCPP and OCPI (plus).
- Experience integrating IoT or payment solutions within this ecosystem and with these standards (plus).
