About the Role
Customer Service/Sales associates provide fast, friendly service by actively seeking out customers to assess their needs and provide assistance. They learn about products using provided tools and offer information to customers to facilitate sales. Associates will learn to greet, qualify, recommend, and close sales within their department, and assist in adjacent departments. They are responsible for maintaining assigned areas, ensuring they are clean, shop-able, and safe. This role also involves maintaining a safe working and shopping environment by adhering to safety policies, completing training, and promptly addressing or reporting hazards.
Responsibilities
- Actively seek out customers to assess their needs and provide assistance.
- Learn about products using provided tools and offer information to customers to facilitate sales.
- Greet, qualify, recommend, and close sales within their department.
- Assist customers in adjacent departments.
- Maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas.
- Ensure assigned areas are clean, shop-able, and safe.
- Provide a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies and standards.
- Complete specified safety training.
- Immediately correct hazards and unsafe conditions or report them to the Manager on Duty.
- Work safely to avoid endangering themselves, co-workers, vendors, or customers.
- Cooperate with Department Supervisor and other associates.
