About the Role
Lead the in-market SMB organization to success, setting the standard for managed-book growth across your Account Management team. You will be key in driving process improvements and business growth, resolving complex problems, and analyzing business trends to inform strategic decisions.
Responsibilities
- Lead complex projects and initiatives that drive process improvements and business growth.
- Resolve complex problems by applying deep functional expertise and innovative solutions.
- Determine methods and procedures for new or special assignments within the sales function.
- Collaborate with global teams to implement best practices and drive consistency.
- Analyze business trends to inform strategic decisions and optimize sales processes.
- Lead and coach a team of Account Managers against clear commercial outcomes through growth, retention and productivity.
- Master the use of AI to assess growth and retention opportunity across the book.
- Partner with Partner, Vendor, Product and other cross-functional teams to remove barriers and improve merchant outcomes.
- Monitor the effectiveness of the team's motions and act with focused business or process improvements.
- Own commercial plan and resource allocation, represent SMB work with senior stakeholders.
Requirements
- 8+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 10+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven experience managing account-management teams.
- A problem-solver who finds a way to meet ambitious financial targets across a full commercial organisation, including course-correcting when needed.
- Sets measurable expectations, coaches the team, and addresses underperformance promptly and fairly.
- Uses value, coverage, churn and pipeline data to make explicit resource trade-offs at the market level.
- Skilled at executive influence and talent development — building alignment, handling conflict, and creating a durable operating cadence for the leadership team.
