About the Role

The FCA is transforming into a data-led regulator, and the People function is evolving to support this. The HR Systems Associate plays an important role in supporting and maintaining HR systems, ensuring reliable people data through well-managed HR technology. This role provides day-to-day support for Workday and associated HR technologies, helping to ensure smooth HR processes, support colleagues, investigate system issues, maintain data quality, and contribute to system improvements. It offers opportunities to develop Workday skills through configuration, testing, data management, and integrations support.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day administration and user support for Workday and other HR systems, investigating queries, resolving issues and supporting the smooth delivery of HR processes
  • Support core HR processes within Workday, ensuring transactions are completed accurately and in accordance with agreed procedures
  • Carry out routine system administration and maintenance activities, including updates to reference data, notifications, system settings, approved configuration changes and maintenance of system documentation and guidance materials
  • Support data quality and governance activities through audits, validation checks, reporting, data corrections and ongoing monitoring
  • Prepare, validate and process Workday EIB data loads, and support integrations and data transfer activities by monitoring interfaces, investigating errors and working with colleagues and suppliers to resolve issues
  • Support Workday releases, enhancements and projects through testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), documentation updates and post-release activities
  • Collaborate with HR, Payroll, IT and wider stakeholders to understand requirements, support effective business processes and deliver a positive user experience
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance system functionality, data quality, user experience and operational processes

Requirements

  • Proven experience using, supporting or administering Workday or another HR system in an operational environment
  • Demonstrable experience of working with core HR processes across the employee lifecycle, using HR systems to support effective process controls and maintain accurate employee data
  • Experience supporting HR system users, providing guidance on system processes and transactions and delivering a positive user experience
  • Experience with HR system administration, maintenance, testing and configuration activities, including updates to reference data, notifications, business processes or other system settings
  • Experience working with HR data, including data validation, data quality management, reporting, audits, updates and governance activities
  • Experience preparing, validating or processing data loads, EIBs, integrations or related data transfer processes within Workday or similar systems
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify, investigate and resolve system and data issues in a structured manner
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences and build effective relationships across teams
  • Well-organised and self-motivated, with the ability to prioritise competing workloads, manage multiple tasks and demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset
  • SC Clearance is required for this role (SC Guidance) - you will hold or will be required to obtain Security Check (SC) level vetting

  • National (Edinburgh and Leeds) ranging from £39,100 to £48,800
  • London from £41,600 to £51,900
