About the Role
Seeking an experienced ServiceNow ITAM / Software Asset Management (SAM) Consultant to manage software asset governance, license compliance, optimization, renewals, reporting, and lifecycle management within a large enterprise environment using ServiceNow ITAM/SAM.
Responsibilities
- Manage software assets, entitlements, agreements, and license compliance within ServiceNow ITAM/SAM.
- Reconcile deployment, entitlement, and usage data to maintain accurate Effective License Positions (ELP).
- Support software vendor audits, compliance analysis, and risk remediation.
- Analyze license utilization and provide insights for software renewals and optimization.
- Identify opportunities for license reclamation, re-harvesting, rationalization, and cost reduction.
- Maintain software publisher/product data, normalization, and overall ITAM data quality.
- Monitor ServiceNow SAM platform health, integrations, and compliance reporting.
- Develop EOL/EOS reports to support cybersecurity, technology risk, and resilience teams.
- Support SaaS and AI software spend visibility and reporting.
- Drive continuous improvement across SAM processes, automation, and reporting.
Requirements
- Strong experience in Software Asset Management (SAM) / IT Asset Management (ITAM).
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow ITAM/SAM.
- Strong understanding of software licensing, entitlements, and compliance.
- Experience with ELP, license reconciliation, renewals, and optimization.
- Experience supporting software vendor audits.
- Knowledge of software normalization and EOL/EOS lifecycle management.
- Strong analytical, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working within large enterprise environments preferred.
- Full Australian working rights required.
- Candidates must be based in Sydney or Melbourne, or be able to work onsite as required.
