About the Role

Responsibilities
- Responsible for strategic engagement on projects of any scale with client executive stakeholders.
- Responsible for identifying strategic risks to projects and overseeing their mitigation.
- Responsible for overseeing and ensuring the appropriate quality of all work orders and change requests, and suggesting enhancements.
- Responsible for the approval of project deliverables, including forecasts and timesheet management, and challenging content when compromised.
- Represents the Hitachi Solutions Delivery Team in strategic prospect meetings, discussing governance best practice and strategic risk.
- Responsible for articulating report content to client executives, proactively identifying and communicating key messages and implications.
- Responsible for assessing and validating complex project plans based on Hitachi’s Consensus methodology, articulating its benefits and structure, championing best practice governance, and identifying areas for improvement.
- Acts as a key player in client C-level relationships, informing and advising senior client staff on best practice, risk mitigation, and strategic challenges.
- Responsible for leading the resolution of conflict situations, calling on Hitachi Executive team support when necessary.
- Owns internal Hitachi processes such as Work Order and Change Request approval when necessary.
- Leads and directs initiatives and improvements within the delivery team.
Requirements
- Effectively manages large and diverse teams, carrying additional Hitachi business leadership accountabilities.
- Extensive experience delivering and leading large-scale, multi-million-pound business applications, digital, cloud, ERP, and data transformation programmes within complex organisational environments.
- Experience delivering programmes using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies, ideally in both public and private sectors.
- Provides support and guidance to senior personnel, engaging Senior Management and HR where appropriate.
- Significant, demonstrable experience in managing large-scale business applications programmes and projects across a range of industries.
- Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining relationships with senior executives within both Hitachi and client organisations.
- High levels of business acumen and commercial astuteness.
