About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity to enhance your current skill base and join us as a Complex Care Assistant. The client is a lady with an acquired brain injury and a schizoaffective disorder. We are looking for sensitive and aware candidates who can communicate effectively with a challenging client with communication and behavioural issues.
Responsibilities
- Providing person-centred care.
- Tracheostomy management including inner cannula care and suctioning.
- Utilising specialised moving and handling equipment.
- Catheter care.
- Medication administration.
Requirements
- Previous complex care experience in caring for clients with tracheostomies, suctioning and catheter care is essential.
- Experienced in caring for a client with an ABI and tracheostomies is welcomed.
