About the Role
As a qualified Dispensing Optician, you will provide a high level of customer care and expert advice, working in one of our stores and reporting to the Store Manager. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to join a modern, well-invested practice with a supportive team, strong clinical foundations, and access to the latest optical innovations.
Responsibilities
- Providing clinical support in store for regulated dispensing
- Inspiring your Optical team by sharing your knowledge to offer the very best service
- Listening to the needs of customers and offer expertise and advice
- Helping customers choose the correct eyewear and offer guidance to ensure they receive the best product suited to their needs
- Supporting the team to deliver an efficient model day and operational processes to ensure the business trades legally
- Providing expert knowledge for patients with more specialist requirements
Requirements
- Registered with the General Optical Council (GOC)
- Passion for your own learning and development, completing all CPD training as part of the GOC requirement
- Ability to embrace new technologies
- Successful candidate to complete a pre-employment check (DBS, PVG, or Access NI Check depending on location)

- You will join a supportive and experienced team including two Resident Optometrists and a Student Dispensing Optician.
- The store has a collaborative culture where colleagues work closely together to deliver excellent patient care and customer service.
- The store operates between 9:00am and 5:30pm, providing a consistent working pattern and excellent work-life balance.
