About the Role
We are seeking talented Senior Principal Level Software engineers to develop advanced solutions in Signals Intelligence (SIGINT), Aircraft Protection, Radar Warning, and Electronic Attack for defense customers. Our products provide critical mission capabilities to address evolving national security challenges. You will be an integrated team member, collaborating with Systems, Hardware, and Test engineers through all project phases, from planning to testing. You will also prepare design and project documentation for complex programs.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a technical lead, mentoring teams and presenting technical designs at customer interchange meetings.
- Analyze, design, code, and modify complex software designs, typically in C++.
- Evaluate complex software designs to identify flaws.
- Communicate project progress and results to management.
- Utilize and evolve processes to incorporate new techniques, minimizing design and product costs.
- Provide top-level technical leadership for assigned design disciplines, including technology selection and long-term goals.
- Ensure effective communication between assigned engineers and other design process participants.
Requirements
- Secret Security Clearance (active within the past two years)
- High-level language proficiency in C++
- Extensive background in embedded and/or software development
- Foundation in Object-Oriented design and implementation principles
- Experience with software and systems engineering processes, methodologies, and tools
- Experience performing software testing, validation, and verification activities
- Familiarity with containers and DevSecOps
- Demonstrated ability to develop, lead, and motivate technical teams
