About the Role
This role is for a Software Engineer on the Product Sizing and Packaging (PSP) team, responsible for optimally sizing Splunk Enterprise Cloud (EC) infrastructures to meet customer workload requirements. The engineer will build and support customer-facing applications/services and participate in an on-call rotation for critical incidents.
Responsibilities
- Create and oversee the development of features and APIs that provide new value to customers
- Build backend systems that turn customer subscription details into accurate cloud infrastructure recommendations and automated deployment inputs
- Simplify complex tasks into manageable steps for both yourself and your team
- Explore opportunities to enhance team workflow by refining current tools and processes
- Engage in open design discussions and code reviews
- Assist with critical issues and customer sessions, including on-call rotation
Requirements
- Bachelors + 2 years of related experience OR Masters + 0 years of related experience
- Basic knowledge of backend technologies (e.g., Go, Python) or associated ecosystems
- Exposure to current technologies through coursework or internship
- Ability to collaborate with multi-functional teams
- Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly
