About the Role
BNY’s Global Collateral Platform assists clients in segregating, optimizing, financing, and transforming collateral to support their financial strategies. We provide global expertise, clarity, and operational support to institutional investors and intermediaries navigating regulatory changes. Our innovative solutions help clients improve collateral management, engage in more investment opportunities, and access new financing alternatives.
Responsibilities
- Independently develop the strategic plan for managing and growing existing client relationships.
- Identify opportunities to evolve client business for incremental account growth.
- Serve in a consultative role to the client, advising top leadership on achieving strategic objectives.
- Manage moderate to large client accounts with high-growth potential and complex strategic needs globally.
- Act as the client advocate and ultimate escalation point for client satisfaction.
- Consult with clients on their strategic vision and how the firm can help achieve it.
- Collaborate across platforms and business lines to identify opportunities for client franchise growth.
- Promote firm services and product offerings that solve client challenges and achieve account growth.
- Research client issues and bring them to resolution.
- Conduct frequent and regular check-ins with assigned clients to ensure satisfaction and strategic alignment.
- Continuously evaluate client needs and ensure sustained client engagement.
- Develop, track, and report on relationship strategy and results for the assigned client portfolio.
- Contribute to the development of team/unit metrics, dashboards, and roadmaps.
- Work closely with business development teams to ensure relationship management strategy execution.
- Keep abreast of client account activity throughout the firm and serve as an escalation point for client satisfaction.
- Assist with prospecting new clients.
- Conduct service review meetings and assist in client training.
- Share market information and experience.
- Contribute to the development of overall RM strategies for the unit.
- Marshal firm-wide resources to ensure client needs are addressed and to inform clients of industry developments.
- Ensure client onboarding and risk management activities are conducted and captured.
- May manage relationships with regulators directly.
- Attend industry events and conferences to remain visible and current on industry trends.
- Provide guidance to less experienced Relationship Managers.
- Achieve organic, incremental growth goals within the assigned client portfolio.
- Manage overall relationship profitability of moderate to large-sized clients.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Advanced/graduate degree preferred.
- Extensive work experience preferred.
- Financial Services expertise with a particular client type or product preferred.
- Prior experience in Relationship Management, Client Services, or Account Management preferred.
- Leadership positions and a track record of leading high-performance client coverage teams with dedicated revenue strategy plans preferred.
