About the Role
We are looking for sensitive and aware individuals to join our Complex Care team as a Complex Care Assistant. You will provide person-centred care to an intelligent and articulate young gentleman with a quadriplegic spinal injury, supporting his independence and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred care
- Monitor condition for autonomic dysreflexia
- Utilize specialised moving and handling equipment
- Administer ventilation support with nebulisers and cough assist
- Perform stoma care
- Perform bladder/catheter care
- Take general observations and vitals
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence
- Access to your own vehicle
- Previous complex care experience
- Experience working with spinal injuries
- Experience with catheter care
Skills
- Effective communication
- Stoma care
- Ventilator care (Theory)
- Nebuliser use
- Cough assist use
