About the Role
Lead the trade show strategy for the Medical division, responsible for strategic planning, execution, and evolution of trade shows, customer events, and executive engagements. Work closely with marketing, commercial, and leadership teams to create innovative, customer-centric experiences that strengthen brand presence and maximize engagement, impact, and ROI.
Responsibilities
- Influence marketing and commercial teams in determining strategically critical trade shows, exhibit strategies, and attendance.
- Lead the execution of complex, high-visibility, multi-business unit trade shows and activations, ensuring operational excellence and brand consistency.
- Execute trade show events ensuring consistency and collaboration while following established guidelines, processes, procedures, and tools.
- Educate cross-functional teams, provide direction, and establish solutions.
- Architect and elevate transformative, customer-centric experiences that showcase innovation and deepen strategic relationships.
- Collaborate with MarCom on exhibit design and layout, and manage cost and construction.
- Attract, develop, engage, and align talent, establishing performance goals and leading a culture of engagement, performance, and accountability.
- Monitor performance and align with broader Medical divisional strategy.
- Develop and manage comprehensive event project plans for all setup tasks, product needs, collateral, bookings, and other details.
- Negotiate with vendors and service providers for optimal arrangements within budget.
- Maintain relationships with Medical’s key industry and trade associations.
- Establish and institutionalize best-in-class frameworks, standards, and playbooks for scalability, consistency, and continuous evolution of pre, post, and during event functions.
- Own performance measurement and portfolio optimization, including defining and tracking KPIs, driving qualified lead generation, evaluating ROI and commercial impact, and using data-driven insights to refine strategy, investment, and execution.
- Develop tracking and measurement tools and processes.
- Work with the Demand Generation Team to ensure timely lead distribution and follow-up.
- Sponsor conference sessions that align with marketing goals.
- Identify and investigate new trade show marketing opportunities based on business priorities and goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 8+ years’ work experience in marketing, communications, events, or related field
- Previous people leader experience
- Experience managing production requirements and timelines of trade show production
