About the Role

The Foot & Ankle Sales Associate will partner closely with Sales Representative(s) to learn the medical device industry and Foot & Ankle business, contributing to the growth of the business in the assigned territory. This role involves supporting all aspects of the sales process, from case coverage and inventory management to customer conversion.

Responsibilities

  • Attend surgeries to ensure product availability and instruct surgeons on product use.
  • Educate healthcare professionals on the proper use, maintenance, and updates of Stryker products.
  • Identify sales opportunities and build customer relationships.
  • Develop appropriate responses to new prospect needs in conjunction with the Sales Representative.
  • Tailor promotional messages and advise on product selection based on customer knowledge.
  • Answer customer questions about product functionality and differentiate Stryker products.
  • Perform field calls for assigned accounts and territory.
  • Assist in implementing new sales plans and marketing strategies.
  • Partner with the Sales Representative to meet and exceed business targets.
  • Serve as the primary backup contact for Sales Representative(s).
  • Acquire a basic understanding of field regulatory compliance issues and adhere to guidelines.
  • Assist in resolving problems or questions that arise in accounts.
  • Partner on inventory management and building of proper inventory levels and sets.
  • Assist in acquiring and processing Customer Purchase Orders (POs) for invoicing.
  • Maintain training in sales skills and products.
  • Market the product line based on functionality, features, and competitive differentiation.
  • Remain current on industry, customer, and competitive trends.
  • Participate in and attend sales meetings and professional association meetings.
  • Adhere to compliance and principles of responsibility, maintaining privacy and confidentiality, protecting assets, acting with ethics and integrity, reporting non-compliance, and adhering to applicable laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree OR Associate’s degree or Medical Certification (i.e. CST, PT, CPT, etc.) + at least 2 years of professional and/or related experience
  • High School Diploma + at least 4 years of professional and/or related experience
  • 4+ years of active duty military service
  • Employees and new hires in sales and field roles that require access to customer accounts as a function of the job may be required, depending on customer requirements, to obtain the COVID-19 vaccination as an essential function of their role.
