About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Engineer with a strong background in modern .NET and React to join our Rights engineering team. This role involves designing and delivering high-quality software, shaping technical decisions, mentoring engineers, and driving engineering excellence. You will influence architecture, mentor others, contribute to engineering strategy, and play a key role in evolving a globally used Rights platform.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver high-quality software.
- Work closely with the Technical Lead to shape technical decisions.
- Mentor other engineers and help drive engineering excellence across the team.
- Lead technical discussions and make architectural decisions.
- Act as a technical point of contact when the Technical Lead is unavailable.
- Navigate complex legacy systems while helping evolve our platform towards modern cloud-native architectures.
- Combine hands-on software development with technical leadership.
- Influence architecture, mentor others, and contribute to engineering strategy.
- Play a key role in the evolution of a globally used Rights platform.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ web/application development experience.
- Demonstrable web development experience.
- Expert-level C# and modern .NET development.
- Strong React, TypeScript and JavaScript experience.
- REST API and microservice development.
- AWS cloud services.
- Relational SQL databases and NoSQL databases such as Postgres or MongoDB.
- Containerisation (Docker, ECS/Kubernetes).
- CI/CD (GitHub Actions or similar).
- TDD and automated testing.
- Message-based systems (SNS/SQS or equivalent).
- Debugging production systems using telemetry and monitoring tools.
- Practical experience integrating AI coding assistants and agentic workflows into day-to-day engineering.
- Familiarity with other data stores, including cloud-based managed offerings.
- AWS Cloud (or similar e.g. Azure).
- Experience in building React components based around Bootstrap.
- Experience in an agile environment (Scrum and/or Kanban).
