About the Role
Play an important role in supporting the successful delivery of our change portfolio. Working within a structured transformation environment, you’ll help provide the governance, oversight and insight needed to build a clear picture of progress and performance across key initiatives. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the organisation, bringing together project and portfolio information to support informed strategy-making and contribute to the effective delivery of strategic change.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate portfolio prioritisation, ensuring compliance with the established control framework.
- Support effective governance of the portfolio, establishing and operating effective Portfolio Governance.
- Monitor portfolio performance, including tracking progress, identifying risks and issues, and reporting status.
- Facilitate the management of the portfolio Book of Work, prioritisation and dependencies.
- Oversight of change delivery to ensure alignment with relevant policies and standards.
- Review, resolve, manage and escalate portfolio risks and issues.
- Engage and influence stakeholders to help them understand and fulfil their responsibilities.
- Support an environment of effective delivery by empowering portfolio management resources.
- Operate as a source of best practice guidance and expertise for controls and governance.
- Contribute or set strategy, drive requirements and make recommendations for change.
- Plan resources, budgets, and policies; manage and maintain policies/ processes; deliver continuous improvements.
- Advise key stakeholders on functional and cross-functional areas of impact and alignment.
- Manage and mitigate risks through assessment, in support of the control and governance agenda.
- Demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls.
- Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of the organisation functions to contribute to achieving business goals.
- Collaborate with other areas of work for business aligned support.
- Create solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought.
- Adopt and include the outcomes of extensive research in problem solving processes.
- Seek out, build and maintain trusting relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Project delivery experience within a structured change environment, including planning, milestone management, RAID management, RAG reporting, and governance support.
- Experience using data and reporting tools such as SQL, Power BI, or equivalent.
- Ability to translate data into clear, insightful management information for stakeholders.
- Change governance and senior (c-level) stakeholder management experience.
- Continuous improvement and process optimisation capability.
- Ability to manipulate large data sets and provide data-led analysis to inform programme strategies.
- Risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen strategic thinking and digital and technology knowledge.
