About the Role
The Black Sun Global Advisory team seeks candidates with strong financial and corporate communications skills, combined with sustainability advisory experience, to advise FTSE 100 and 250 companies on corporate and sustainability reporting. The role involves working closely with regulators, industry bodies, and clients to provide advice on Annual Reports, ISSB, CSRD, Net Zero Transition Plans, UK SRS, UK Corporate Governance Code, and best practice reporting. The successful candidate will be a key team member, collaborating across the business and Positive Change Group, contributing to new business wins, developing strategic roadmaps, delivering projects, and supporting thought leadership.
Responsibilities
- Shape client corporate reporting suites in line with current and forthcoming disclosure requirements.
- Provide strategic advice on corporate reporting, sustainability, and wider communication to clients and prospects.
- Develop strategic communications presentations and interim assessments of Annual and Sustainability Reports.
- Conduct deep dive research into client corporate communications to assess their approach, content, and effectiveness.
- Lead client workshops, presentations, and external events on best practice communication.
- Promote Black Sun’s wider communications offer to existing and new clients.
- Develop key processes, methodologies, and best practice approaches with the team.
- Provide guidance, education, support, and expertise to junior team members and other internal teams.
- Assist in pitching for and winning new business.
- Help develop and deliver Black Sun Global’s research and benchmarking.
- Contribute to the development of Black Sun Global’s thought leadership and editorial productions.
Requirements
- Experience in communication roles, preferably in corporate reporting, financial PR, or investor relations.
- Ideally, experience working with listed companies, presenting, and advising on best practice corporate reporting and communication.
- Familiarity with the UK corporate reporting and regulatory environment for investor and sustainability communications.
- Demonstrates ownership of work.

- Possesses confident and professional presentation and written communication skills.
