About the Role
Urgent hire for a Senior Frontend-Primary Engineer to own the full product surface of an autonomous AI assistant that integrates with Slack, Gmail, and Linear. Join an early-stage team of 20 and work directly with the founding team.
Responsibilities
- Own frontend architecture across the product using React, Next.js, TypeScript, and TanStack Query, setting patterns.
- Develop complex, high-performance UI including multiplayer surfaces, large-data views, and real-time interfaces under production load.
- Take full-stack feature ownership end-to-end, including API routes, database migrations, UI, and analytics.
- Optimize state management and rendering at scale, demonstrating expertise in caching, invalidation, and optimistic updates.
- Contribute to product decisions on rough ideas, shipping and iterating on working first versions.
Requirements
- Deep production expertise in React, Next.js, and TypeScript, with frontend as a primary skill.
- Demonstrate specific rendering optimization decisions made in a shipped product.
- Experience at an AI-native company or an elite startup of Notion or Linear caliber, with clearly defined ownership.
- Shipped and owned a complex web product in production (multiplayer, large-data, streaming, or real-time UI) with documented scaling decisions.
- Ability to own full-stack features end-to-end without being blocked by backend support.
- Provide publicly inspectable evidence of shipped work (personal site, shipped product, substantial public repository, or named design system contribution).
- Based in San Francisco or open to relocating for 5-days-a-week on-site work.
- Open to a one-week paid in-person trial assessment.
