About the Role
Join smava, a leading FinTech company in Germany, as part of our Accounting Team. We are looking for a full-time Accountant to help shape the digital future of the credit market.
Responsibilities
- Assist with accounts payable and receivable for three companies.
- Review, code, and book current business transactions.
- Manage expenses with Payhawk, including company credit cards, receipts, and reimbursements.
- Administer and review payment runs.
- Handle bookings for travel expenses, payment transactions, and account reconciliations.
- Serve as a point of contact for internal staff and external suppliers and customers.
- Actively participate in process improvements and internal projects.
Requirements
- Completed commercial apprenticeship or comparable qualification.
- 2-3 years of professional experience in accounting within a dynamic company.
- Good knowledge of DATEV, Excel, and MS Office.
- Knowledge of input tax, VAT, and reverse charge.
- Precise and conscientious work ethic with a high quality standard.
- Reliable and proactive working style.
- Strong communication skills and teamwork ability.
- Native-level German language proficiency.
- Good written and spoken English communication skills.
