About the Role
This role supports and enhances the Group's financial crime framework, ensuring effective controls, monitoring, and oversight to manage financial crime risk and meet regulatory obligations. It contributes to strategic initiatives and continuous improvement activities to strengthen compliance and support risk management.
Responsibilities
- Analyze Group-wide data to identify trends and themes indicating fraud and other financial crimes.
- Ensure Group Business functions have appropriate policies and procedures to detect and prevent financial crime.
- Support change/strategic projects where automation can provide efficient ways of preventing financial crime.
- Deliver accurate and timely reports and MI demonstrating how business functions manage financial crime, identifying areas needing control improvements.
- Support the wider financial crime and Compliance team with training material, MI, analysis, risk assessments, and policy refreshes.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of financial crime regulations and risk management.
- Experience within a financial crime, compliance, or risk environment.
- Ability to support regulatory remediation and business change initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills with a proactive and solutions-focused approach.
- Effective stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Relevant financial crime qualification (e.g. ICA) desirable.
- Thorough referencing process, including criminal record checks.
