About the Role
Join our Housing Repairs service, supporting the investigation and progression of complex repairs and disrepair cases. Help keep cases moving by gathering information, monitoring outstanding works, coordinating with repairs teams and contractors, and keeping residents informed. Respond to follow-up enquiries and complaints, maintain accurate records, and ensure agreed actions are followed through. Develop knowledge of responsive repairs, property defects, and the wider repairs service, taking on more responsibility for progressing cases and resolving issues.
Responsibilities
- Investigate and progress complex repairs and disrepair cases.
- Gather information to keep cases moving.
- Monitor outstanding works.
- Coordinate with repairs teams and contractors.
- Keep residents informed about their cases.
- Respond to follow-up enquiries and complaints.
- Maintain accurate records.
- Ensure agreed actions are followed through.
- Develop knowledge of responsive repairs, property defects, and the wider repairs service.
- Take on increased responsibility for case progression and issue resolution.
Requirements
- Experience of customer service or dealing directly with the public.
- Experience of organizing and progressing work or cases and following actions through.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Good organization and ability to manage competing priorities.
- Practical approach to problem solving.
- Ability to know when to ask for technical or management support.
- Good IT, literacy, and numeracy skills.
- Ability to work effectively with others to resolve queries and issues.
- Willingness to develop knowledge of responsive repairs, disrepair, and property defects.
