About the Role

National Arbitration and Mediation (NAM) is seeking a Business Development Director to build and deepen relationships with personal injury law firms in New York, connecting attorneys with appropriate NAM neutrals and expanding NAM's presence.

Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with attorneys at plaintiff and defense firms across New York, focusing on deepening existing relationships and developing new ones.
  • Understand individual attorneys' case types and practice focus to make well-matched introductions to NAM neutrals.
  • Represent NAM at bar association events, ADR conferences, and in-person meetings.
  • Maintain up-to-date activity and relationship records in the CRM.
  • Collaborate with the NAM Panel Relations team to align on neutral availability and share firm feedback.
  • Support broader NAM growth initiatives, complementing marketing and sales efforts.
  • Drive outcomes through relationship building, introductions, and case volume generation.

Requirements

  • Existing relationships within the NY personal injury plaintiff and/or defense bar.
  • Background in ADR, legal services, court reporting, or a related legal-adjacent field.
  • Comfort and credibility in conversations with senior attorneys and general counsel.
  • A relationship-first mindset, prioritizing trust before revenue.
  • Self-motivation and ability to manage own calendar and travel.

Salary/Compensations

  • Base salary: $150,000–$175,000 per year. Total target compensation: $225,000–$250,000.
