About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Treasury Analyst to build and own the cash flow monitoring, bank account administration, intercompany loan and cash-pooling reconciliation, and insurance administration capabilities for Digital Science. This role involves establishing processes, documentation, and controls from scratch, working closely with the VP, Finance Operations and CFO on cash and banking matters, and liaising with Holtzbrinck Treasury on group requirements.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and forecast cash flow on a rolling basis to ensure adequate funds are available for operational needs, escalating risks to the VP, Finance Operations.
- Administer cash concentration and disbursement activity, supporting intercompany cash pooling arrangements, including reconciling intercompany loans and interest.
- Coordinate payroll funding with the AP Senior, ensuring cash is in place ahead of payroll run dates and that payroll bank files are submitted and confirmed on time.
- Support monitoring and reporting of foreign exchange exposure.
- Maintain day-to-day banking relationships, acting as the first point of contact for operational banking queries and escalating strategic or contractual banking matters.
- Prepare regular cash position and cash flow forecast reporting for the VP, Finance Operations, the CFO, and Holtzbrinck Treasury, in line with Holtzbrinck Treasury Guidelines.
- Support insurance administration and data-collection requests in coordination with HPG Insurance, under the direction of the VP, Finance Operations.
- Own the initial build-out of the Treasury, Banking & Insurance function, establishing processes, documentation, and controls for cash, banking, and insurance activity.
- Identify and implement process improvements and system tooling, such as bank portals and treasury/cash management systems, to bring the capability to a scalable, well-controlled steady state.
- Maintain internal controls over cash and treasury processes, recommending improvements as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in cash management, banking operations, or treasury administration.
- Proficient with accounting software (NetSuite).
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills, comfortable liaising with banks and group treasury contacts.
- Comfortable being the first dedicated owner of a function, building processes and documentation from a blank page.
- Accounting exposure alongside cash/treasury experience (desirable).
- Experience with treasury/cash management systems or bank portals (desirable).
- Demonstrates high attention to detail and accuracy across cash, banking and insurance work.
- Exercises discretion and sound judgement when handling sensitive cash and banking information.
- Applies analytical thinking to interpret cash flow and treasury data, flagging risks proactively.
- Acts as a self-starter with an AI-first mindset, building structure and process independently.
- Collaborates proactively across Finance and Digital Science, taking ownership and accountability for outcomes.
