About the Role

Sony Corporation of America (SCA) is seeking a Manager, Paid Media, to lead, develop, and execute the paid media program that amplifies Sony’s brand, content, and social channels. This role translates business and marketing objectives into audience-led paid media strategies to effectively reach consumers and drive engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the planning, activation, and optimization of paid media campaigns across social, digital video, programmatic, display, and other relevant channels.
  • Translate business and campaign objectives into clear media objectives, audience strategies, channel recommendations, and KPIs.
  • Partner with internal teams to integrate paid media into broader campaign activities.
  • Identify opportunities to use paid media to amplify Sony content, creator stories, partnerships, and brand initiatives.
  • Lead day-to-day relationships with Sony’s paid media agency, ensuring strategic alignment, strong execution, and accountability.
  • Review and challenge agency media plans, recommendations, audience strategies, and optimization approaches.
  • Monitor campaign pacing, performance, audience delivery, creative performance, and budget allocation.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize campaigns based on performance, audience behavior, creative effectiveness, and business priorities.
  • Ensure campaigns are executed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with approved strategy and budgets.
  • Develop and maintain a test-and-learn agenda across audiences, creative, channels, formats, and media strategies, translating learnings into actionable recommendations.
  • Honesty, trustworthiness and ethical conduct are material requirements for the responsibilities outlined above.

Requirements

  • 7 years of experience in paid media, digital marketing, media planning, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of paid media strategy, planning, activation, optimization, and measurement across digital channels.
  • Experience developing and executing paid media strategies across Paid Social, CTV, OLV, programmatic, and other digital media channels.
  • Experience managing media agency relationships, including reviewing media plans, budgets, performance, and recommendations.
  • Strong understanding of audience strategy, targeting, segmentation, first-party data, and digital media measurement.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze campaign performance and translate data into actionable insights.
  • Experience overseeing media investment and working with agency partners to optimize budget allocation across channels, audiences, creative, and campaigns to maximize impact.
  • Strong understanding of the relationship between media, creative, content, audience, and brand strategy.
  • Highly proactive and self-directed, with the ability to identify opportunities, anticipate needs, and take ownership of initiatives with minimal direction.
  • A strategic thinker who brings a point of view and proactively develops recommendations.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate media strategies and performance insights for non-media audiences.

  • $130,000 to $140,000
  • 13% annual bonus target
