About the Role
This high-energy, multi-responsibility position oversees the daily operations of the Workforce Development (WFD) area, including implementing training programs, managing daily program delivery, supporting instructors and students, and coordinating with clients and other departments. The role requires excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills, along with flexibility, creative problem-solving, and independent decision-making. The position is primarily grant-funded through July 2027.
Responsibilities
- Manages and prioritizes the daily WFD communications flow (email, phone, other).
- Provides customer service for current and potential students.
- Responsible for WFD course registration oversight, maintenance, and enrollment.
- Manages book inventory for programs.
- Oversight on mandatory healthcare clinical documentation.
- Works with the Director of Workforce Development on program scheduling, fairs, recruitment, enrollment, completion, certificates, and employment follow-ups.
- Performs general office responsibilities including reception, record keeping, and office organization.
- Maintains an office presence on the home campus site.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the DWFD.
Requirements
- Associates Degree preferred, High School Diploma required.
- 1-3 years of professional experience.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- All required vaccines for a medical setting are current and up to date.
- A valid NYS license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to take direction.
- Able to multi-task.
- Highly organized.

- Extremely high attention to detail, problem solver, and able to take initiative.
- Maintains a high level of professionalism.
- Interpersonal communication skills to work with internal and external constituents, particularly prospective and current students, instructors, and clients/partners.

- Knowledge of database systems – experience with a student information system preferred.

- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision.
- Ability to travel within the nine counties of Western New York.
- Must possess a valid NY State Driver's License.
