About the Role
Manage and develop existing and new products/services, owning customer and colleague journeys. Develop product strategy, drive change, and make key decisions throughout the product lifecycle to achieve outcomes for customers, colleagues, and the bank, ensuring compliance with SLAs, regulations, and risk management.
Responsibilities
- Develop customer-level strategies and solutions tailored to customer needs.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert in the Product/Proposition team, guiding stakeholders on product application and customer/colleague journeys.
- Develop product propositions and/or service strategy, defining priorities and leading execution.
- Develop commercial and business models by understanding financial drivers of the P&L.
- Evaluate technical feasibility, legal compliance, and potential risks of new product development.
- Monitor market trends and analyze feedback from internal employees and customers to identify areas for improvement.
- Manage comprehensive launch plans and technical deployments, including timelines, marketing, training, and communication.
- Monitor key metrics such as adoption rates, usage patterns, customer satisfaction, and revenue generation.
- Contribute to or set strategy, drive requirements, and make recommendations for change.
- Plan resources, budgets, and policies; manage and maintain policies/processes; deliver continuous improvements.
- Escalate breaches of policies/procedures.
- Advise key stakeholders on functional and cross-functional areas of impact and alignment.
- Manage and mitigate risks through assessment, supporting the control and governance agenda.
- Demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls.
- Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of organizational functions to achieve business goals.
- Collaborate with other work areas for business-aligned support.
- Create solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought, comparing and selecting complex alternatives.
- Define problems and develop innovative solutions through in-depth analysis and interpretative thinking.

- Support the end-to-end Mass Affluent segment and Premier proposition strategy.
- Create a distinctive Premier experience supporting customers across their financial lives.
- Connect everyday banking with wealth, protection, and financial planning.
- Drive commercial, customer, and regulatory outcomes at scale.
- Influence senior stakeholders and drive cohesion across banking and wealth propositions.
- Ensure customers experience a unified, customer-focused strategy with clear pathways into savings, investments, retirement, protection, and advice-led solutions.
Requirements
- End-to-end product and proposition management experience, including segment strategy development, proposition design, lifecycle ownership, and outcome delivery for Premier and mass affluent customers.
- Proven commercial experience with full Profit & Loss (P&L) accountability.
- Ability to manage value across revenue, balances, assets under management, customer engagement, and retention.
- Ability to translate evolving needs of mass affluent customers into compelling proposition design through advanced strategic thinking, deep customer understanding, and market insight.
- Proven leadership in cross-functional delivery, leading teams and influencing senior stakeholders across complex organizations.
- Demonstrated experience in portfolio delivery and execution, managing dependencies across products, channels, servicing, and wealth journeys.
- Experience within the financial services industry, ideally in Premier, affluent banking, wealth management, investments, retirement, protection, or financial planning.
- Considerable teamwork, collaboration, and consensus-building abilities.
- Experience bringing together retail banking and wealth stakeholders around a shared customer strategy.
- Technical mindset with an understanding of technology delivery, digital wealth journeys, and the use of data and insight.
- Strategic perspective with the ability to anticipate future needs of mass affluent customers and their families.
- Additional qualifications such as an MBA or expertise in design or systems thinking.
- Risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, and digital and technology skills.
