About the Role
Sentry is seeking a Software Developer or Software Engineer to join their team. This role involves developing, testing, and maintaining software applications, systems, or platforms within a full-stack, cloud-first environment. Associates are encouraged to innovate, learn, grow, and contribute using industry-leading technologies.
Responsibilities
- Complete assigned tasks on time while adhering to established software development practices.
- Actively participate in team discussions and openly communicating status and effort.
- Engage in the design, development, and implementation of new and existing programs or solutions.
- Demonstrate ownership over the quality of assigned tasks, preparing test scripts and conducting tests on both new and existing solutions.
- Actively engage in team delivery functions such as design reviews, code reviews, and scrum meetings.
- Build an understanding of relevant business domains and utilize it to enhance work product.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Computer Science or related discipline; or equivalent related work experience.
- Demonstrated aptitude in one or more programming languages and software development concepts.
- Experience in Vue.js or other JavaScript frameworks.
- Experience with Spring and Java.
- Experience with Android or iOS a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to optimize systems.
- Demonstrated understanding of design principles and development best practices.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
