About the Role

This 12-month secondment opportunity supports the effective operation of the Board, Board Committees, and Executive Committee of IBAL by coordinating high-quality, timely information, maintaining reliable governance records and controls, monitoring follow-up decisions and actions, and identifying matters requiring escalation. The role contributes to governance processes that enable directors and senior management to discharge their responsibilities safely and effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate defined governance processes end-to-end
  • Support disciplined and well-controlled information flows to Board and Committees
  • Maintain reliable governance records and actions
  • Provide routine guidance on approved governance policy and processes
  • Identify governance issues and recommend process improvements

Requirements

  • A governance background and skill set with sound judgment within a regulated environment
  • Experience in roles with responsibility for management, board information quality, governance advice, and regulatory obligations
  • Understanding and practical application of risk controls
  • Experience with financial services governance (APRA/ASIC)
  • Development and implementation of continuous improvements
  • A legal, Governance, or related discipline/qualifications
  • Must have been in current role for a minimum of twelve (12) months before applying (may be waived in special circumstances after consultation with Manager)
