About the Role
JE Dunn's Advanced Facilities Group (AFG) is seeking inspired individuals to join their high-performing team focused on cutting-edge work for innovative clients on large Industrial & Manufacturing, Data Center, and Semiconductor projects. As part of this team, you will work on advanced construction projects across the country, growing your career alongside industry professionals.
Responsibilities
- Learns and actively participates in all aspects of the company’s safety and quality plans and culture.
- Completes entry level and routine mechanical, electrical and field construction activities.
- Learns to develop budgetary M/E estimates based upon program and schematic design information.
- Assists in the review of mechanical and electrical options during preconstruction and completes systems analysis.
- Learns to develop mechanical and electrical scopes of work for the bid process.
- Assists in bid analysis and provides input during subcontractor selection.
- Assists in developing system sequencing requirements and providing solutions to meet schedule requirements.
- Gains knowledge of design documents to identify potential quality problems and assist in developing constructability review reports.
- Learns to perform job inspections to ensure specifications and expectations are met.
- Learns and assists with the shop drawing/submittal process.
- Assists with the commissioning process, including developing pre-functional checklists, functional testing procedures, and functional testing.
Requirements
- Ability to perform work accurately, completely, and in a timely manner.
- Ability to read and understand plans, drawings, and specifications.
- Knowledge of the means and methods of construction management.
- Ability to build relationships and collaborate within a team, internally and externally.
Skills
- Communication skills, verbal and written (Intermediate)
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Proficiency in basic JE Dunn construction M/E tools and software

Experience Level
- 0-2 years construction experience and/or summer internship/co-op experience in construction (Preferred)
Education Level
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, architectural engineering or related field (Required)
- Equivalent relevant experience will be considered
