About the Role
This career-grade role offers the opportunity to join at Grade 5 and develop towards the full Grade 6 Repairs Support Officer position. You will provide administrative and customer support to the Housing Repairs service, ensuring inquiries, outstanding works, and issues are followed up and progressed. You will act as a crucial link between frontline and back-office services, working with residents, repairs teams, contractors, and other Housing colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Monitor outstanding works orders.
- Respond to customer inquiries.
- Coordinate information and actions.
- Support the arrangement and follow-up of inspections.
- Deal with complaints and customer feedback.
- Ensure identified works are completed in a timely manner.
- Contribute to monitoring performance.
- Identify issues.
- Support a good-quality, value-for-money repairs service.
- Build knowledge of responsive repairs, property maintenance, and the building environment.
- Take on a broader range of work with greater independence.
Requirements
- Experience of working with customers or the public.
- Ability to provide a good standard of customer service.
- Organized with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Comfortable following up inquiries and actions to ensure progression.
- Clear communication skills.
- Ability to build positive working relationships.
