About the Role
The Field Engineering Specialist will travel and showcase expertise in technical repair and installation for Roche assigned product lines, offering valuable service to laboratory customers. The role involves routine technical support, on-site service, repair, and installation of Roche products, serving as a customer contact for technical and service-related issues, and performing preventative maintenance. The position requires diagnosing and resolving mechanical, hardware, software, and system failures, documenting all activities, contributing to quality improvement, and focusing on maximizing customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Travel and showcase expertise in technical repair and installation for Roche assigned product lines.
- Offer valuable service to laboratory customers in your assigned territory.
- Perform routine technical support, on-site service, repair, and installation of Roche products.
- Serve as a customer contact for technical and service-related issues.
- Perform preventative maintenance.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hardware, software, and system failures.
- Document all activities.
- Contribute to quality improvement.
- Focus on maximizing customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- High school diploma and 2 years of technical school or equivalent military training or work experience.
- 5 years of progressive experience in repairing or servicing mechanical/system hardware and software, or networking/wireless networking.
- Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 1-2 years of progressive experience.
- Successful completion of training or certification as defined by RD Services Leadership and policy.
- Ability to travel, including overnight travel.

- Advanced knowledge of electronics
