About the Role

Salesforce is seeking a Senior Director of Product Management for AI Agent Systems. This role is part of Salesforce AI Labs, operating like a startup within the company. The position involves shaping an early product, working directly with customers and engineers, and driving product strategy from concept to launch and adoption. The goal is to turn early production success into a repeatable product business.

Responsibilities

  • Build Directly With Customers: Understand customer processes, identify automation opportunities, and define success metrics.
  • Partner with engineering and forward-deployed engineers to move workflows from exploration to production adoption.
  • Distinguish customer-specific requirements from recurring needs for core product investment.
  • Establish measures of customer value, including time saved, operational cost, reliability, and maintenance.
  • Own Product Strategy and Prioritization: Shape product vision, roadmap, and sequencing for agent learning, execution, evaluation, governance, and self-service.
  • Determine focus areas based on customer value and repeatable adoption.
  • Make tradeoffs between acquiring new customers and building scalable capabilities.
  • Translate customer requirements and technical constraints into product decisions.
  • Make Powerful Technology Usable and Trustworthy: Partner with engineering and design to make workflow management accessible.
  • Define how users understand agent capabilities, verify results, recover from failures, and maintain control.
  • Establish product-level success criteria and release gates based on task completion, correctness, intervention rates, and time to value.
  • Build a path from hands-on onboarding to self-service adoption.
  • Take the Product to Market: Partner with stakeholders in product marketing, sales, pricing, security, and legal.
  • Shape positioning, packaging, and the customer journey.
  • Build a growth strategy connecting enterprise sales with technical validation.
  • Keep leadership aligned on investment, strategy, and next steps.

Requirements

  • Taken an enterprise software product from ambiguity into production adoption.
  • Hands-on experience bringing AI-powered products to users, understanding evaluation, reliability, latency, cost, and human oversight.
  • Technically fluent, able to engage deeply with engineers on agent behavior, APIs, workflow state, permissions, and failure recovery.
  • Builds directly with customers, moving between business objectives and daily work to inform product decisions.
  • Demonstrates senior product judgment, owning roadmap and investment tradeoffs, aligning teams, and being accountable for outcomes.
  • Remains hands-on, comfortable with testing, writing requirements, investigating failures, and detailed product work.
