About the Role
Salesforce is hiring Technical Builders with production experience and a builder mindset to join a cross-functional team that designs, builds, and deploys agentic solutions for Fortune 500 customers. Your code will run in customer environments from day one, focusing on product engineering with a customer on the other side of the keyboard.
Responsibilities
- Develop AI agents and experiences that take real actions for real companies.
- Design agent intelligence, including prompts, reasoning, tool calls, and integration with customer systems, leveraging the Agentforce platform and current LLM techniques.
- Own technical components end-to-end, from architecture choice to deployed, validated, and observable in production.
- Build and integrate data pipelines on Salesforce Data 360, Snowflake, Databricks, and customer data platforms.
- Contribute to proofs-of-concept and MVPs that move from sketch to deployable in days.
- Surface platform gaps, edge cases, and field insights to senior Builders and the Agentforce product team.
- Partner with the Strategic Builder in your pod to translate customer business challenges into agentic solutions.
Requirements
- 3+ years of software engineering or technical delivery experience, with at least one production system you'd be proud to walk us through.
- Fluent in at least one of Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Apex — and willing to add to that list as the work demands.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs and prompt engineering.
- Understand data modeling, APIs, and integration patterns deeply enough to design them.
- Ability to hold your own in a room with sales teams and customer architects.
- Ship quality code and evaluate AI outputs with engineering rigor.
- Thrive in a collaborative, building-focused environment.
- Possess sharp problem-solving instincts and a get-things-done mentality.
- Willing to travel ~25% of the time, working directly alongside customers.
