About the Role

ACCIONA is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to ensure the effective coordination and control of Engineering Works for a designated Project. This role involves assisting the Construction Manager to ensure the safe and successful completion of the project on schedule, within budget, and to the specified quality.

Responsibilities

Ensure the project is delivered to cost & time with resources needed leading to a high level of client satisfaction
Identify and assess risk to the project as well as the implementation of strategies to mitigate risk
Use technical skills to resolve design challenges and identify value engineering opportunities
Cost and forecast control to assist the project managers with strategic planning
Lead, develop and manage large project teams on the ground
Build effective and collaborative relationships to coordinate activities with supervisors
Maintain quality, environmental, and safety systems across the project
Provide positive leadership to subcontractors monitor and control their performance to ensure the quality and standard of workmanship performed both on and off site is in accordance with the specifications and relevant procedures
Manage construction budgets to allow accurately profit / loss forecasting and monitors the financial performance for certain aspects of the project

Requirements

Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or similar
5 years’ experience in a project/delivery-based role
Extensive piling experience
Experience leading high performing teams
Demonstrated strong forecasting and budgeting experience
Competent in planning and organising work schedules
