About the Role
White Rabbit is a neighborhood cocktail bar that transforms into a DJ music venue on weekends, retaining a welcoming atmosphere. This role involves leading the security team, ensuring guest satisfaction, and maintaining a safe environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the security team on a nightly basis.
- Assist management in scheduling needs for the security department.
- Respond to all guest needs and requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Greet guests courteously and professionally upon arrival and departure.
- Prevent and deescalate altercations, escort or remove trespassers, and contact law enforcement when needed.
- Inform management of all guest comments and complaints.
- Monitor third-party security personnel attendance and report variances to management.
- Assist management in monitoring music volume levels and ensuring the front door is closed during sets.
- Ensure all necessary equipment is kept clean and accounted for.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure good communication.
- Represent and market the PlumpJack Group positively and professionally.
- Promote and comply with all PlumpJack Group policies and procedures.
- Immediately report all suspicious occurrences and hazardous conditions.
- Contact police or fire department in cases of emergency.
- Note safety hazards and take appropriate remedial action.
- Patrol bar property, noting problem areas or unusual activity and communicating to management.
- Maintain the cleanliness and safety of work areas.
- Attend all mandatory meetings.
- Perform other tasks, including cross-training, as directed.
- Turn in any lost and found items immediately to the Manager on Duty.
- Adhere to all company policies as outlined in the PlumpJack Employee Handbook.
- Report to work as scheduled and be prepared to start work.
- Remain at work for the entire work shift, except for authorized breaks or business.
Requirements
- Familiarity with California liquor laws.
- Current California BSIS Guard Card & RBS training.
- Minimum 1 year of industry experience.
- Experience supervising other guards.
- Detail-oriented, efficient, team player, trustworthy, and reliable.
- Safety-minded with high-quality standards for service and hospitality.
- Courteous, friendly, and professional demeanor; diplomatic and calm.
- Ability to work productively with little supervision.
- English fluency required.
