About the Role
Set up and operate audio-visual equipment including projectors, sound systems, video monitors, and theatrical lighting. Provide assistance in meeting rooms, lecture halls, and support events in the Charles B. Wang Theater.
Responsibilities
- Assist with execution of audio, video, or lighting systems for events, including programming lights, creating lighting looks, and mixing sound.
- Serve as lead technician and/or stage manager at times.
- Maintain advanced audio-visual and theatrical equipment, including focusing lights and performing upkeep and minor repairs.
- Assist Production Manager in providing job-specific training for student assistants.
- Perform other duties or projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Associate's degree (foreign equivalent or higher), or two years of directly related full-time experience, or a combination of education and experience totaling two years.
- One year of directly related full-time experience in audio visual and/or theatrical production.
- Evening and weekend work will be required at times.
