About the Role
As a Housekeeper Supervisor, you and your team create a clean, safe, healing environment throughout the facility. Your leadership and attention to detail will directly impact the quality of life for our team and those in our care. Responsibilities
- Hire, train and lead housekeeping and /or laundry team
- Develop and maintain department schedule to ensure adequate staffing
- Perform periodic inspections of the building and grounds to ensure cleanliness and adherence to safety protocols
- Collaborate with other staff members to address resident needs and maintain a safe and clean environment
- Ensure all facility policies and procedures are followed and updated as needed
- Manage inventory and ordering of cleaning supplies
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in institutional housekeeping and laundry services
- Ability to read, write and comprehend English
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
- Knowledge of cleaning protocols, infection control, fire prevention and safety measures in long-term care are highly valued but not required; training will be provided
