About the Role

KPMG is seeking an Intern for Human Resources to support the Human Resources Leadership Team in various HR functions, complete special projects, and collaborate on a cross-functional HR capstone project. This role offers an opportunity to gain experience in a dynamic, evolving environment while contributing to intelligent, data-driven solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Human Resources Leadership Team in a select summer internship in various HR functions utilizing specialized applications, tools and platforms
  • Complete assignments/special projects as assigned by HR center of excellence department leaders
  • Collaborate with other select HR internship team members on a cross-functional HR capstone project
  • Conduct research, compile analytics and develop a team presentation to review the output of the capstone project with the HR Leadership Team

Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Human Resources, Human Resources Leadership, Human Resources Talent Management, Industrial and Labor Relations or equivalent program
  • Must have a current/most recent GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Strong technical, business acumen, critical thinking and agility skills
  • Demonstrated ability to excel and drive strategic outcomes
  • Professional demeanor and a collaborative leadership approach in a dynamic, evolving environment
  • On the job experience in Human Resources or a related discipline is preferred
  • Excellent written/verbal communication, interpersonal, presentation, facilitation, time management, decision-making, leadership and analytical skills
  • Demonstrate quality service mindset
  • Ability to navigate MS Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
  • Experience with multimedia and/or rapid development authoring tools (Camtasia, Storyline, Captivate) a plus
  • Ability to write basic SQL queries, basic understanding of relational databases and/or experience with BI tools (Qlik, Tableau, PoweredBI, Alteryx) a plus
  • Must be located within the U.S. when working remotely
  • Client site locations may require travel and overnight/extended stay
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future
  • Consideration will be given to qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with California and San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinances.
