About the Role

KPMG is seeking an Advisory Intern for its Advisory practice. The role involves supporting clients in navigating change and transforming their competitive edge through intelligent, data-driven solutions, leveraging AI and digital innovation. Responsibilities

Review, analyze and recommend improvements to construction management processes and internal controls.
Support construction contract reviews, project oversight and monitoring functions for large capital projects.
Define and implement recommendations including construction management policies, procedures, processes, internal controls, roles, responsibilities, reporting and supporting information technology.
Conduct project reviews to evaluate percentage of completion, probability of recovery for change orders and claims, reasonableness of the estimate to complete construction, schedule delays, defective specifications and loss of productivity.
Perform field work, including data collection, analysis and work paper documentation.
Prepare, edit, and proofread narrative reports and presentations of observations and recommendations.
Work closely, but independently, under the guidance of Director and Partners.
Perform analysis using Excel, PowerPoint and other data visualization tools to produce client deliverables, reports and dashboards.
Conclude internship with a case study presentation to partners on services and solutions learned.

Requirements

Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or other relevant field.
Must have a current/most recent GPA of 3.0 or above.
Strong technical, business acumen, critical thinking, and agility skills.
Demonstrated ability to excel and drive strategic outcomes.
Professional demeanor and collaborative leadership approach in a dynamic, evolving environment.
Ability to leverage common business technologies, including MS Office (with an emphasis on Excel) and AI.
Ability to quickly learn KPMG tools and applications.
Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to apply professional judgment and skepticism.
Ability to manage priorities across multiple tasks and deliver high-quality work.
Ability to travel and/or work on-site at client as needed.
Must be located within the U.S. when working remotely.
Client site locations may require travel and overnight/extended stay.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Criminal history may have a direct, adverse, and negative relationship with some of the material job duties.
