About the Role

KPMG is seeking an Advisory Intern for its Advisory practice. This role involves supporting clients in Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) and Performance Transformation, helping them improve business outcomes through data-driven solutions and strategic recommendations.

Responsibilities

Support clients in end-to-end Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A), including commercial due diligence, operational due diligence, integration & separation planning and implementation.
Assist clients in Performance Transformation by improving EBITDA and working capital through growth, margin, and cost initiatives.
Gather and analyze company, market, and financial information.
Generate hypotheses from data and identify supporting quantitative and qualitative analysis.
Design and develop financial models to analyze financial and operational performance.
Facilitate meetings and conduct interviews to ensure objectives are met.
Communicate analysis findings and key implications verbally and in writing.
Synthesize outputs into actionable takeaways and business recommendations.

Requirements

Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Computer Science, Data & Analytics, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a similar field.
Must have a current/most recent GPA of 3.0 or above.
Strong technical, business acumen, critical thinking, and agility skills.
Demonstrated ability to excel and drive strategic outcomes with a professional demeanor and collaborative leadership approach in a dynamic environment.
Ability to leverage common business technologies, including MS Office (Excel emphasis) and AI, and quickly learn KPMG tools and applications.
Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to apply professional judgment and skepticism.
Ability to manage priorities across multiple tasks and deliver high-quality work in a professional services capacity.
Must reside within a commutable distance of the office and be responsible for own transportation.
Work location may be in-office, at client sites, or virtual/remote (must be located within the U.S. when remote).
Client site locations may require travel and overnight/extended stay.
Applicant must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Consideration will be given to qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with Los Angeles County and San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinances.
