About the Role

OneView is seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead the vision, strategy, and backlog for the store experience, which includes the front-end applications used by store personnel for customer service, payment processing, cash management, stock handling, and shift operations. This role significantly impacts the daily work of tens of thousands of store colleagues globally.

Responsibilities

  • Own the product vision and strategy for the store experience, aligning with commercial objectives and revenue.
  • Plan and conduct user research with store personnel, translating findings into backlog changes.
  • Translate research into clear design direction for the UX designer, defining problems, users, constraints, and desired outcomes.
  • Manage the backlog by creating and prioritizing epics and user stories, defining acceptance criteria, and maintaining a prioritized queue.
  • Rank work with stakeholders by value and ROI, adjusting priorities during sprints as needed.
  • Define interface requirements between the front-end store experience and platform services, collaborating with architects and engineers.
  • Represent the store user in all decision-making forums, including design reviews and governance.
  • Ensure Scrum team deliverables meet quality and non-functional requirements, focusing on accessibility, performance, and offline behavior.
  • Own the release plan for the store experience and set expectations for new functionality delivery.
  • Update or draft documentation for all features upon shipping, including functional, technical, release notes, and training materials.
  • Coordinate dependencies with other teams and third parties, surfacing conflicts early.

Requirements

  • 3+ years as a Product Manager or Product Owner on customer-facing or associate-facing software; Point of sale, self-service, or store operations experience is strongly preferred.
  • Proven ownership of product vision and strategy, with personal experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Decisive leadership with the ability to own and adjust decisions, operating without a committee.
  • Experience planning and conducting user research in real-world working environments and demonstrating product changes resulting from it.
  • Proficiency in reading wireframes, prototypes, and design systems, with the ability to brief designers precisely.
  • Understanding of store operations, including staffing pressures and peak trading, to design for users under pressure.
  • Ability to communicate credibly with both store associates and head office technology leaders.
  • Experience writing testable, complete, and unambiguous acceptance criteria that account for adjacent features, integrations, and platform behavior.
  • Solid understanding of cloud-native, API-first architecture and how headless front ends consume platform services to judge requirement costs.
  • Ability to defend backlog rankings to stakeholders.
  • Experience managing a dependency tracker that is actively used across internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Accountability for shipped documentation, ensuring accuracy against shipped features.
  • Ability to perform all required tasks unaided, with AI tooling as a supplement to personal judgment.
